CHARACTERS / cast

BONIFACE

Richard E. Grant

An old monk-cum-magician remains cantankerous and single-minded throughout the journey but, at heart, a kindly person with a mission to complete. Together with a wood-witch, he uses various tricks, spells and potions which help make warring groups, vicious rulers and others bow to his supremacy and power. He is extremely sceptical of Albie's claims of various things from the modern day world which in banter, become amusing situations in interpretation within the different ages between them.

ALBIE

James Hickey (USA)

A young gangly boy, almost bloodless complexion combined with wispy frost- white hair gives an almost albino appearance, he has a strong will. His life is thrown into turmoil when thrown onto Jertowrie at the heart of the Multiverse, initially 'very' afraid, he slowly finds his assured self as he becomes used to this new and magical environment. Like any boy of that age, his enthusiasm and tantrums often get the better of him and lead to dire consequences for the group. He sees through a lot of Boniface's magic because of his modern knowledge and is able to dream up astounding tricks of his own. He respects Boniface and Nikki but, in the initial stages holds nothing but contempt for William, the boy-bishop.

ZANIVAL

Robert Englund (Grm)

The black-hearted dark monk wants to rule the universe is responsible for the break-up of the Order of Monks and Magicians. He needs to possess the entire map which he intentionally destroyed. He too, is attempting to find the pieces and remains a constant threat to the travellers by setting traps and convincing local leaders that the little groups are messengers from the Devil. His tricks and disguises are many as he constantly harasses the group while also trying to steal their gathered treasure.

NIKKI

Nicole Prideaux (UK)

Young female artist, her family were sold to slavery by Zanival, there is something peculiar about her as she continually seems to age and magically become younger during various stages of the journey. She is a "Matron of Nature" figure and the heart of all going on, she and Albie form a bond although neither would admit to it.

The Three Oracles

Bob Hoskins, Ringo Starr & Bob Geldorf

Most live actors above are dressed up in covering prosthetic suits and therefore, any 'Big Named Actors' are not required other than for voice-over type roles. However, there are three major slots scheduled to be and are incorporated into the overall script for a Bob Hoskins, Ringo Starr & Bob Geldorf type to act in as the three-in-one zany and amusing Oracles/Sage of the designed major cameo parts.

MELTLISS

Etta Murfitt (uk)

MELTLISS is a shape-shifting nymph. She is reluctantly forced to spy and work with and for Zanival because he has her soul trapped in a glass container. She is a tiny, snip of a girl with a pretty, elfin face, tiger striped skin and long sinuous tail

TRELFAS

Walter Sparrow (uk)

TRELFAS is a thieving, deceitful satyr with the upper body of a man and two horse-like legs. He is not very tall and tends to stand with his shaven head bowed, rarely looking anyone in the eye. Promised with wealth and power the cowardly Trelfas willingly aids Zanival, even though terrified by the dark monk.

WILLIAM

Jason Durr (UK)

The boy-bishop starts off being a haughty, misguided individual used to giving orders, not receiving them. Everything he suggests turns to disaster, for his own safety, slowly at first starts to listen to advice and then learns to take care of himself. He and Albie are continually sniping at each other leaving Boniface to separate the two who are just as bad as one another, both causing untold problems for the peculiar little band of travellers. William helps Nikki create various new heraldic emblems based on the beasts they encounter.
